The Brixton Reel Film Festival is an annual event dedicated to working with diverse local communities. We show the best new films and arts, and along the way explore positive images of mental well-being and self empowerment.

Highlights in 2013 included a powerful documentary about writer and civil rights activist Alice Walker, a feel-good comedy about three best friends with Down’s Syndrome and a charming film about the life of a 100 year old Argentinian woman.

There was also Indian Laughing Yoga and Reggae Relaxation events, plus delicious Caribbean and Portuguese food.

The Festival is supported by NHS Lambeth CCG, and Southwark Council, promoting positive mental health and well-being. For more information on local support services click the Help & Advice button at the top of the page.

We look forward to seeing you at the festival!
